Tanner Hall is a vivid peek into the private world of an all-girls boarding school. In a cosy but run-down New England town the knot of adolescent complexity is unravelled through the coming-of-age stores of four teenage girls. When the bond of close-knit friendship is jeopardized by the arrival of the new girl Fernanda finds love elsewhere in the secret world of her after-school dates with a married man. Unknowingly each of the girls embarks on life altering journeys which help define who they will become. Meanwhile the adults in their world struggle with the equally challenging hurdles of middle age.
